CrossFit Metro Goals

2009 CrossFit Games

This is CrossFit Metro’s core focus for 2008-2009. Christian Griffith, founder of CrossFit Metro is training hard with a focus towards the Third Annual CrossFit Games in California in 2009.

“As someone who is constantly interested in pushing envelope, taking on seemingly surreal and lofty challenges, I expect to whittle myself into the kind of shape necessary to compete against the country’s top CrossFit enthusiasts.”

Christian is looking for Atlanta area CrossFit athletes interested in training together to push each other bigger, stronger, faster workouts.

“Initially, I started CrossFit Metro because of my immense desire to make CrossFit a larger part of my life; however, reality dictates that my lifestyle is not conducive to traditional CrossFit affiliate model of training classes.”, explains Christian.

“Instead, I am rationalizing my affiliation as a way to give back to CrossFit, through my affiliation fee, as well as promoting CrossFit methodologies in the most positive and excited manner that I can.”

“Perhaps, once I achieve my first year goals of getting in top-notch shape and really learning, practicing, and utilizing the CrossFit methodologies and acquiring quality technique certifications, I can open the doors to a more traditional CrossFit affiliate environment. Only time will tell.”

CrossFit Training Benchmarks

“In judging training growth and development, I will focus on the following crossfit workouts. Negotiating these training workouts at peak efficiency and maximum load will serve as a tremendous foundation for positioning myself at a competitive level for the 2009 CrossFit Games.”
